The Starting Point of all Achievement
The first step of Napoleon Hill’s thirteen proven steps is “Desire” which he calls “The starting point of all achievement”. Your goal cannot just be a hope or a wish, it should be a keen pulsating DESIRE, which burns with such intensity that it transcends all else.
Through focusing on the definite object of your desire with repetition you work yourself into a white heat of desire until you begin to smell, taste, and feel the satisfaction that it offers. Your desire becomes stronger and stronger till it becomes the all consuming obsession of your life and you truly BELIEVE that you WILL possess it. Once your level of desire wrapped with the emotion of faith becomes strong enough your desire will be translated into reality.
A strong desire will enable you to overpower any resistance you may encounter. You are able to persist even in the face of crippling fears from any perceived dangers. As Hill states in Think and Grow Rich “Nature wraps up in the impulse of STRONG DESIRE “that something” which recognizes no such word as impossible, and accepts no such reality as failure.”
The repetition of frequently re-reading and concentrating on your goals etches their image into your brain and increases desire. MyGoalManager.com’s Online System uses automatic comprehensive goal reviews and allows you to upload personal images for your goals. Napoleon Hill includes a whole chapter on power of auto-suggestion in Think and Grow Rich and he says “One technique to increase your desire is by AUTO-SUGGESTION where you concentrate on a goal (with faith and emotion) using regular repetition.” (by Napoleon Hill)
Purpose and confidence are created from the very fact the you have a definite desire which is validation that you can achieve it. In The Science of Getting Rich Wallace D. Wattles says “And it is certain that you can do what you want to do; the desire to do it is proof that you have within you the power which can do it. Desire is a manifestation of power.”
Too much stress cannot be laid on the importance of frequent contemplation of the mental image, coupled with unwavering faith and devout gratitude. (The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles)

The importance of loving what you do.
While I was working on my favourite ‘goal planning software’,
I started wondering… What are useful beliefs to become happy and successful?
This reminded me about something that I read in my book ‘Success built to last. Creating a life that matters.’
The importance of loving what you do.
“Listen up - here’s some really bad news: It’s dangerous not to do
what you love. The harsh truth is that if you don’t love what you’re
doing, you’ll lose to someone who does! For every person who is
half-hearted about their work or relationships, there is someone else
who loves what they’re half-hearted about. This person will work harder
and longer. They will outrun you.”
How is it about you? ARe you doing what you love? Do you have a plan?
Tip: Download this goal planning software and start playing with it.

Welcome to Goal Planning Software!
The fact that you’re on this page only means that you have problems realizing your goals. And my friend, you have come to the right place! In the near future we will be discussing several goal-planning software tools and maybe we’ll even be building our own web application.
But first, let me tell you something.
Tools can be helpful, but in the end it is YOU who must set a CLEAR GOAL. That’s the one very important thing that you should remember. For the absence of a clear goal is like a boat without a point of destination. And a boat without a destination is like a piece of log floating aimlessly in the ocean. It’s being tossed about by the waves, hoping that one day it will be washed away to the shore where someone may pick it up so that finally that piece of log can serve it’s original purpose.
See the point?
It’s such a waste of time wandering aimlessly in this life without a clear sense of direction! Without a clear goal in mind!
And that’s the whole point of this blog. To help you clear out those fogs in your mind and set a strong goal. This, and a lot more we talk about in our ebook: HOW TO MANAGE YOUR LIFE TO THE TOP.
